Colto dei Pallanti is farmhouse completely rebuilt situated in a beautiful position in the hills surrounding Radda in Chianti, south facing and renowned for its magnificent views. Colto dei Pallanti has all modern conveniences including a heated pool, Jacuzzi and sauna set in its beautiful gardens.
Cities such as Florence (within 1 hour), Siena (within 40 mins) and Pisa (within 1.5 hours) are filled with glorious architecture and incomparable museums, many guests are overwhelmed by the extraordinary richness of the region’s cultural heritage which they explore, followed by a relaxing dip in the pool in the warm Tuscany sun.
The farmhouse has been faithfully restored, respecting the ancient character of the original farmhouse, but at the same time adding to the quality and comfort with new furnishings and equipment such as a still or sparkling chilled water purifier.
An example of this successful combination of old and new is the very well-equipped kitchette found in the garden, which opens to a terrace, ideal for “al fresco” dining from the wood burning Barbeque, while enjoying breathtaking landscapes and by night enjoying the illuminated gardens.
Within the large and totally fenced gardens and raised behind the house in a superb position there is a beautiful, heated swimming pool. The area surrounding the pool is furnished with sun lays and a covered pergola with a kitchette offering a fridge and preparation area, raised further still above the pool area is sun terrace furnished with sun lays and relaxing chairs. There are mountain bikes and covered parking on the property.
The entrance brings you into the living area with large plasma TV Sat, DVD and CD player. To the left is an ample dining table for six people and through the archway the kitchen with gas hobs, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. A large window provides a fitting backdrop for this well decorated room, under the stairs is the ADSL Internet connection and fax machine. A computer is also available.
Passing the stairs to the corridor there is a laundry/ironing room with washer and dryer. The corridor leads to a twin bedroom with patio doors that open onto the garden, there is a walk in wardrobe and a bathroom en suite with bath tub and separate shower box, the chest of draws supports the plasma TV with Sat connection.
Up the terracotta stairs and to the left is the main bathroom, which has a corner whirlpool bath, and separate shower box, across the corridor is a small room fitted with a full-length sunray lamp. Ahead is are two bedrooms, the larger bedroom has en suite facilities including a bathtub and separate shower box, there is plenty of wardrobe space and a plasma TV Sat fitted.
The smaller double bedroom has great views from the window and a plasma TV Sat, a door to the left takes you into the relax area. There is a hot tub, a sauna and an external hot shower to leave you feeling fully relaxed, from here you can pass directly into the garden.
On your arrival the owner will supply a rich buffet of local products which includes cured meats, cheeses, seasonal fruit, wine and sweets.
NOTE: Electricity is charged extra, 0.30 Euro per kW

The pool is 12x6 meters, 1.4 meters deep. It is open from April through October

Radda in Chianti is less than 6km away. It is possible to walk to the town. Here you will find many typical shops and restaurants plus all other services that you may need.

Wie war Ihr Gesamteindruck von der Unterbringung? Perfekt! Paola war toll und der Empfang mit den kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten hat uns da Ankommen gleich versüßt! Das Wetter hätte etwas schöner sein können denn dann hätten wir den traumhaften Pool besser ausnützen können.
Gab es unangenehme Überraschungen? Tja, die kleinen Skorpione im Garten waren schon eine Überraschung! Aber es ist nichts passiert und daher nicht schlimm.
Haben Sie andere Anmerkungen? Uns war nicht bewußt, dass Radda so hoch liegt und es morgens und abends eher frisch sein kann. Vielleicht könnte man dies für zukünftige Urlauber bei der Beschreibung erwähnen.

what was your overall impression of the accommodation? Clean, welcoming, beautiful and peaceful.
Did you have any unpleasant surprises? A scorpion in the shower which we were unsure how dangerous it was. The room made up for the adults was two single beds pushed together but made individually downstairs. We just moved upstairs to the double and sent the kids downstairs.

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
